Benefits of Website Design with Director 8.5

by: Bernice Ly

The software program of Director 8.5 has proven itself to be a very useful tool when it comes to designing WebPages. Many people would argue that interactive multimedia is distractive and does not allow the reader the opportunity to absorb the content on the website. However, in the contemporary society of marketing and capitalism, it is believed that the Internet has become an environment where websites are frequently competing for the viewer?s attention. Hence, if a website builder can use the program Director 8.5 to his or her advantage in terms of advertising; this will prove to be beneficial in gaining the audience?s attention whilst marketing your product.

Reasons why designing your website with Director 8.5 is beneficial:

1.	Director 8.5 gives the webpage builder the opportunity to incorporate flash animation into their website as well as having control over the length of the flash animation.

2.	Director 8.5 combined with flash animation has the ability to provide audience interaction and also can ensure that the information that is read by the viewers is absorbed. For example, viewers who are able to take online quizzes or interact with characters or buttons on the website have a greater concentration span and memory limit than someone who is just endlessly sitting in front of the computer screen reading articles and having no interaction.

3.	The software program of Director 8.5 allows the webpage builder to have a lot of control over the texture of the website. There are features that are installed in this software design program that even allow the designer to have control over whether the background color should be 100% in texture, or a faded background with the background color only 50% in texture.

4.	3D animation is also possible with Director 8.5. This software program allows the designer to make or incorporate 3D animation so that the characters on your websites seem to be more realistic and entertaining to the audience.

5.	3D buttons and texts are also possible with Director 8.5. The designer can use Director 8.5 to their advantage by placing links in the website, so where a 3D button or text is clicked on, another webpage or link is activated. This software can also be used for online quizzes and interactive games and videos.

Finally, although Director 8.5 is a very sophisticated software program, there are many tutorials that are available on websites to assist the designer. For more information, check out websites such as: www.fbe.unsw.edu.au/learning/director/8.5/ where simple instructions will enable you to design more complex animation later once you have mastered the skill!

About The Author

Bernice Ly is a technical writer working at M6.Net: ?The web-hosting company for humans.? M6.Net is working hard to help humanity experience the power and freedom to develop their own part of the Internet, to share their information and connect with anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Business Entities ? What Are The Choices?

by: Neil Clarkin

When you decide to start your own business, one of the most important decisions you will make is determining which business entity is right for your business. This decision will have a huge impact on how the business is operated, how taxes are paid, and your personal liability. Different types of entities have different advantages and disadvantages that must be taken into consideration, but you should start with an understanding of exactly what each type of business entity is.

The sole proprietorship is the choice for most business startups, but it isn?t necessarily the best choice. What makes this type of business structure attractive is that it is the easiest and fastest way to set up a business. All that is required for a sole proprietorship is a business license, which can be obtained in about an hour by visiting your local court house, paying the fee and filling out a short form.

A partnership is just like a sole proprietorship, except that there is more than one owner. Again, a business license will be required, and while not required, a legally binding partnership agreement is highly recommended. The agreement should include the rights and obligations of each partner, how profits and losses will be divided, and how the partnership will be dissolved should one of the partners want out. There are actually two types of partnerships ? a general partnership, and a limited partnership. The main difference between the two is that in a limited partnership, the limited partner?s legal liability is limited to the amount of their investment, but this limited partner does not have an active role in running the business.

Corporations are more complicated to set up, but they also offer individuals the most protection. There is additional record keeping and administration work that must be done, but the business owner is not legally liable for the actions of the corporation. Should be business get into financial trouble, creditors cannot come after the individuals assets. There are two types of corporations ? C corporations and S corporations. C corporations have tax disadvantages, such as double taxation, and most businesses that incorporate choose the S corporation structure, which allows income to pass directly through to the individual shareholders.

The limited liability company (LLC) is an alternative to corporations that many small business owners look to. Like a corporation, the owners of the business are protected from liability, but the business is taxed as a sole proprietorship or partnership. There is typically less paperwork and expense involved in setting up an LLC, as opposed to setting up a corporation. This is the most feasible choice for many small businesses.

For the most protection, a small business owner should opt to either incorporate the business, or form a limited liability company (LLC). Even though a sole proprietorship or partnership is easier to set up, and doesn?t cost as much to start, it just will not offer the business owner or owners an adequate amount of protection, and in the end, could cost the owners more money than the cost of setting up a corporation or LLC in the first place.

About The Author

Neil Clarkin is a contributing writer at Incorporation Services Guide.
How to Integrate Weight Training Properly into Your Golf Exercise Program

by: Sean Cochran

Are you too confused about weight training for golf?

There are many opinions in the golf world on whether weight training is beneficial or counter-productive to the golf swing.

On the PGA Tour it is a well-known fact that the majority of professional golfers are implementing golf fitness exercises into their training regimen. The goal of such golf fitness exercises is to improve their play on the golf course.

First and foremost, as a professional strength and conditioning coach on the PGA Tour, I see the benefits of a golf specific exercise program are well documented.

The confusion for most amateur golfers probably centers around what specific training modalities and exercises should they include in their golf fitness programs and what are the professional golfers doing.

I get a lot of questions on how are the professional golfers programs set-up, what specific exercises do they incorporate in their programs, and are the exercises in such programs similar to those found in local health clubs. A lot of people ask me if they should include actual dumbbell and barbell exercises into their golf exercise program.

The goal of this article is to provide you information on what the components, modalities, and exercises that compromise a good golf fitness program.

I will also provide you with a breakdown and sequence of a good golf fitness program.

First and foremost, I need to define a few terms to help you create an understanding of the basic goals of a golf fitness program. The main goal of a golf fitness program should be to improve your golf game through the development of your physical body. In order for you to meet this goal, the golf exercises within your program must develop the body relative to the golf swing.

At this point, I must explain a few things about the biomechanics of the golf swing. The golf swing is a total body athletic activity. Meaning the entire body is utilized to swing the golf club. Just as in baseball, you do not throw with only you?re your, but rather your entire body. The same is true of the golf swing; you swing the golf club with your entire body. This in the world of strength and conditioning is defined as an ?integrated total body athletic action?.

The golf swing is easily defined as an athletic action incorporating the entire body to execute. Knowing this point, a golf fitness program must incorporate exercises for the entire body. A term we like to call ?integration?. Integration is the utilization of exercises that incorporate the entire body. For example, the golf swing incorporates a rotational movement of the core (abdominals, lower back, hips, and obliques). An integrated golf specific exercise incorporating all these muscles would be a physio-ball Russian Twist in which all these muscles are working in a rotational pattern.

This is very different than isolating each muscle of the core and training them separately with isolation exercises such as abdominal crunches. The point to be made is; integrate the muscles of the body rather than isolating each muscle in a golf fitness program.

Secondly, the exercises within a golf fitness program must be ?cross-specific? to the anatomical positions, movement patterns, and energy requirements of the golf swing. Simply stated this means train your body with exercises that place your body in the position your perform the golf swing, utilize exercises that move your body through the ranges of motion of the golf swing, and develop the needed energy requirements of golf.

For example, a golf swing is performed in a standing ?athletic position?. Knowing this fact, it would probably be of greater benefit to perform a physio-ball squat rather than a seated leg extension for the golf swing, why? Because the physio-ball squat places your body in a position similar to a position in which the golf swing is executed. A leg extension isolates the quadriceps in a seated position, which does not train the body in an integrated movement pattern, nor in a position similar to the golf swing.

Cross-specific training results in a ?transfer of training effect? onto to golf swing. This simply means the exercises you are performing directly affect your golf swing in a positive manner. One goal of a golf fitness program is to get the greatest amount of benefit from each of your exercises.

If you keep these two principles integration and cross-specific in mind when developing your golf fitness program. The choices made in the selection of exercises will undoubtedly be better for your golf swing.

Once these basic principles are understood you may begin the process of developing a golf fitness program. A golf fitness program consists of a series of modules. The modules are essentially different pieces of the program geared towards developing a specific improvement within the body. As a whole, the separate modules together comprise a golf fitness program. For example, flexibility training is one module that is contained within a golf fitness program. The goal of the flexibility module is to develop the flexibility parameters within the body required of the golf swing. Listed below in sequential order with a brief definition are the modules that comprise a comprehensive golf fitness program.

1.	Flexibility Training: exercises to develop flexibility within the body required of the golf swing.

2.	Balance Training: modalities geared toward improving your balance capacities in relation to the golf swing.

3.	Joint Integrity Training: Exercises to develop strength and endurance in the joints of the body. Injury prevention based exercises for the shoulders, hips, and knees.

4.	Core Training: Exercises to develop the required stabilization, strength, and endurance in the core region of the body for the golf swing. Utilizes a variety of modalities and equipment such as physio-balls, medicine balls, tubing, and dumbbells.

5.	Total Body Training: Integrated total body strength, endurance, and power training exercises. Geared towards developing the needed strength, endurance, and power within the body in a cross-specific manner relative to the golf swing.

The most important principle to remember relative to the modules comprising a golf fitness program are the goals of each module and the order.

Training order is of the greatest importance with a golf fitness program.

Often times the golfer will attempt to develop power within their muscles before achieving the proper levels of flexibility that the demanding golf swing requires.

If you train this way, you will most likely develop power in the body, but you will likely not be able to use it effectively.

For example, if you develop greater amounts of power in the core region of the body, but don?t have the flexibility to execute a full shoulder turn. The ability of your body to utilize your increased power will be less than optimal. I can?t emphasize to you enough, keep the training order consistent as I outlined above.

Finally, the number of exercise choices you have in terms of flexibility, balance, joint integrity, core training, and total body exercises for the golf swing are too many to count.

There is also many types of equipment you can use for each component of your golf exercise program.

You can use stretch cords, tubing, medicine balls, dumbbells, and all other types of equipment within a golf fitness program. The points to keep in mind when choosing the actual exercises for your program are: 1) Do the exercises train the body in the anatomical positions of the golf swing? 2) Do the exercises take the body through the ranges of motion entailed within the golf swing? And 3) Do the exercises develop the required energy requirements of the golf swing?

If you use these questions in the decision making process of exercise selection, the final program you develop will most certainly be beneficial to your golf swing.

Sean Cochran

**The contents of this article are not to be considered as medical advice.
Always consult a physician before beginning or changing any fitness
program.**

This article is protected by copyright, 2006, BioForce, Ltd.
A Golf Fitness Coach Equals Great Golf

by: Mike Pedersen

Golf fitness coach. Have you ever considered one?and if so, what exactly were you looking for? There are many ?general fitness? trainers trying to get a piece of the golf fitness and training market that seems to be rapidly gaining exposure both on the television and in print thanks to Tiger, Vijay and Annika.

But the first thing you need to consider when looking into hiring a golf fitness coach or program is the trainers experience in golf. Yes?that is high on the list of requirements. Does he/she know golf? Do they know the biomechanics of the golf swing? How about muscle function during the golf swing?

An easy test is during the initial interview or if you?re researching it online is to either ask very golf specific swing technique questions; or take a look at the information on the website. You?ll find out real quick if this person or program can help your golf swing, game and health.

A golf fitness coach or program should incorporate strength, flexibility, endurance, body awareness, balance, stability and even a nutrition component.

It?s easy for a trainer to have a strength component?but is it specific to golf? A quick test. Take a look at some of the exercises. Are any of them on seated machines for instance? If they are?run! This is NOT a golf fitness coach and/or program. This is considered ?general fitness?.

Now stretching. There are dozens of stretches for all people. But take a look at some of them. Do they even remotely look like they will benefit your golf swing? Stretches involving trunk flexibility; lower back; hamstring; and even shoulders specific to the mechanics of the swing are what you want. General stretches are better than nothing, but will delay your results. You want specific stretches.

Body awareness. Does any of the exercises resemble golf positions or phases of the swing? Do they look like you would be on your feet and in your golf posture? As stated above, if they are seated on machines, your body will learn nothing in regards to your golf swing. Training your body specific to golf incorporates positions almost identical to what your body would be in during any part of the golf swing.

Stability. Training your body to improve stability in your swing can get a little complex if you really want to see results. The swing happens at between 80-100 miles an hour. One of the biggest flaws of amateur golfers is moving in their golf swing. Moving either laterally (sliding), vertically (up and done) or both. This is death to your golf swing. To improve your stability involves specific strength drills most trainers don?t even know about.

I could go on-and-on about the requirements of a golf fitness coach or program. It is critical you make the right decision. I have heard horror stories of golfers working with ?so-called? golf fitness experts and their game getting worse. With the proper research this won?t happen to you. So definitely consider a golf fitness coach.

About The Author

Mike Pedersen is one of the top golf fitness experts in the country, author and founder of several cutting-edge online golf fitness sites.
2006 Ford Mustang: Retro Cruiser

by: Matthew C. Keegan

When Ford decided to redesign the Mustang, they opted to incorporate a retro look, much like what was done previously with the Thunderbird. Fortunately, Ford didn?t look at the ghastly Mustang II series from the 1970s for a template, instead the US automaker drew upon the second generation Mustangs of the late 1960s for their inspiration. Let?s just say that the redesigned Mustang has been nothing short of a sell out hit.

Introduced as a 2005 model, the retro Mustang for 2006 offers only one change: the introduction of a Pony package which is meant to give the car a GT look and feel. Borrowing from the fastback design of the late 1960s, the 2005 model was such a hit that Ford could not keep up with production.

Buyers have a choice between a 4.0L V6 and a 4.6L V8 engine to power the car. With 2+2 seating, 107 inch wheelbase, and a curb weight of just under 3500 pounds, the car cruises down the highway with 210 and 300 horses respectively.

Each engine is mated with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 5 speed automatic transmission is optional for both. 4 wheel disc brakes and optional traction control [standard with the V8] help keep the Mustang under control.

Clothe bucket seats are standard with leather seats optional. All models come with tilt steering wheel, cruise control, power locks and windows, power side mirrors, and air conditioning.

Ford gives buyers a choice between 5 coupe and 5 convertible models with base MSRP starting at $19,810 for the coupe and $24,635 for the convertible.

First year sales of the Mustang were so good that the car sold out by early Spring. In fact, the Mustang dethroned the Chrysler 300 as the hottest car on the market with more than 15,000 Mustangs sold per month. All of this production is from just one factory.

Production for 2006 is certain to be tight and with little incentives available ? they certainly aren?t needed ? the Mustang is likely to continue to have a long waiting list of customers desiring the sporty coupe. Considering that sales across the Ford division are flat, this is good news for an automaker desperately needing a hot seller.

About The Author

Copyright 2005 -- Matt Keegan is a contributing writer for the Auto Parts Warehouse: [http://www.autopartswarehouse.com], a wholesaler ofdiscount Ford parts and accessories: [http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ford~rep.html].

5 Facts About Adult Acne

by: John Mancini

When you mention acne most people instantly think of hormonal teenagers standing in front of the bathroom mirror refusing to go to school because of a pimple on the end of his or her nose. Acne isn't necessarily like that, though. It's true that Acne does appear to be a hormonal affliction but it isn't true that it's only teenagers who can get it. Adult men and women can suffer from adult acne at any age and it is not uncommon to see people of 40 suffering quite badly. Adult acne can be just as serious as teen acne causing depression and social anxiety in people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

1- Adult acne really is a lot more widespread than you might imagine. 25% of adult men and up to as many as 50% of adult women are expected to suffer from adult acne at some point during their adult lives. It really is a lot more common than you probably imagine and there is no reason to be ashamed by it.

2- The exact causes of adult acne, like teen acne, remain unknown. Certainly hormones have a big part to play in people of any age contracting acne but the exact relation nobody knows. Because of it's similarity, though, the treatments and prevention for adult acne are virtually identical to those of teen acne and are easy to use or follow.

3- Acne, in general, is one of the most common medical problems in the world and it is estimated that 30% of all visits to dermatologists will be due to acne. However, because the world looks at acne as a teen problem they fail to realize the mental anguish that adult sufferers can face. Adult acne can lead to serious depression and social anxiety as grown men and women become afraid to go out in public.

4- Scrubbing and scrubbing your pimples will not help. It is more likely to open up sores that can become easily infected. These will look a lot worse than any acne pimples and can leave some quite visible scarring. Cleansing is fine but you should avoid scratching or picking.

5- There are a large number of natural botanical remedies to help with adult acne that you may want to consider trying. Dandelion and Burdock are both proven to help as are Lavender, Dock Root, Turmeric and Strawberry Leaves. There are many more natural solutions that are very easy to find and even easier to incorporate into your daily lives.

About The Author

John Mancini has been writing about acne online and offline for a long time.
A Nurtured Weblog and The Back Door Effect

by: Ryan Lawrence

Last week, I found myself involved in a very familiar conversation. The owner of an online music download company wanted to know more about "those weblog things" and if he should try to incorporate one into his web site. Like many in his position, when he first heard the term blog, he chalked it up to a passing fad or something his thirteen-year-old daughter might be interested in. But, soon even he could not ignore the buzz and his curiosity peaked.

"I sort of know what a blog is," said the site owner; "But, I don't see what an online journal can do for my music download web site."

This site owner is not alone in his confusion over weblogs. Most business people are still just learning the power of weblogs and how vital they are becoming to online business. There are many benefits to having and maintaining a weblog, and if you want to know them all, you should have little trouble finding resources to educate you.

Today, however, I would like to focus on a single often overlooked beneficial aspect of having a weblog. It is what I like to call the "back door effect," and it relates to the boost a weblog can have on your site with pagerank and general overall rankings in search engines.

The back door effect works like this: let's say your main web site, the site where you want visitors to go, is mainsite.com. Your ranking for your particular keyword or words in search engines will depend on a great many variables. But, two of the most important variables can be boosted by having a weblog that links back to your main page. These two variables are pagerank and quality related inbound links. If you're still in the dark about pagerank, check out this article by Ian Rogers, http://www.iprcom.com/papers/pagerank/.

The best way to use a weblog to boost your search engine rankings is to nurture that weblog by updating it regularly with information worthy of syndication (RSS Feeds) and by getting your weblog listed in directories that rank high in pagerank, like this one, http://www.highclassblogs.com. It, like many of the blog directories, contains several different categories, so finding one that fits your particular site should not be difficult.

Study up on how pagerank works and why quality related inbound links are important to your search engine rankings. Once you understand how important these facets are, you'll see how a well-nurtured weblog can transfer ranking power to your main site through the back door.

About The Author

Ryan Lawrence has designed and optimized web sites for twelve years.
Build Up Your Self Confidence by using Simple Fashion & Beauty Tips

by: Donna McAlister

You are feeling good about yourself and you want to show the world that you have something to offer. You feel that way inside but you look says something totally different. How to get the outside to match how you feel on the inside? Well you have got to ?Dress for Success?.

But how do you accomplish this? Number one you have got the dress the part and by dressing for the part I mean that you have got to dress for the job, career, or business that you want, not for the one that you currently have. Example if you wanted to be a successful Hair Stylish, you have got to look like you have your hair in order. Would want to go to a Hair Stylist whose hair was always a mess? I don?t think so. This analogy could be used in just about every profession.

Now this does not mean that you have got to go out and spend an exceptional amount of money to get a whole new look. This new look can be accomplished by adding a few pieces of accessories to your existing wardrobe.

Some of the simple tips that I find useful are:

1) Add a piece of jewelry to an outfit. It can be a nice bracelet, a simple necklace, a pair of earrings or even a nice watch. Don?t over do it with the jewelry. Just add something simple to your already existing outfit.

2) Dress up a pair of jeans. I know we dress up for work five days a week and we want a day where we can just tone things down and relax. Dressing up a pair of jeans can be as simple as changing from an old t-shirt to a nicer shirt or maybe a blouse. You can even add a simple jacket depending on the outing.

3) Update you current handbag. By adding a simple handbag you can create a totally different style in the way that an outfit looks and the way that you feel. Handbags are an accessory to any outfit and you should think of it as such.

4) Incorporate some simple beauty tips such as drinking plenty of water. Water promotes rejuvenation of the skin to give the skin a natural healthy glow.

5) Take some time out for yourself. Every one needs time to unwind and relax. In a previous article that I wrote ?Finding Time to Pamper Yourself,? I outlined some tips to follow to assist in taking and making the time for yourself.

Remember that the key to looking and feeling your best is to take care of yourself. If you incorporate some of these tips that I mentioned you can be on your way to build up your self confidence while creating or updating your style.

About The Author

© Copyright Donna McAlister, All Rights Reserved .
3 Website Positioning Tactics Guaranteed to Boost Your Traffic

by: Michael Turner

There are many tactics you can use to increase traffic to your website. However, three particularly effective suggestions include search engine optimization, keyword articles, and trading links with other web pages. When you incorporate these three strategies into your overall Web site strategy you will be sure to increase your traffic.

Tip #1 Search Engines and Optimization

You need to be sure your web page is listed with as many search engines as possible and that it is optimized to return results. The more web sites that have your information the more visitors you will attract, it is as simple as that. Also, optimizing your website to be returned in the search engines is also very important. You will be able to do this through keywords included on your pages. The more keywords you have that are directly and indirectly related to your content the better because the higher the keyword content the higher ranking you will receive through the search engines. You should be focused on writing short articles that focus on specific keyword phrases for your website. The more keywords you include and variations of keywords mean the more people you will be able to attract to your page.

Tip # 2 Trade Links

Trading links is another great tip for getting people to your web page. What you should do is evaluate your target market, the product you are selling and other related products. Then, for the other related products you do some research to find the best web pages that sell these products. Then, you suggest a link trade. The post a link to your web site and you post a link to theirs. This will not only you?re your web page returned higher in the rankings, but also more visitors because you will have access to the visitors on other web sites as well. However, be sure that the sites you want to trade links with are good quality sites. And in order for them to want to trade with you then your site will also need to be of good quality. Keep this in mind before making any contacts.

Tip #3 Submit to Directories

You should also submit your URL to as many popular directories as possible. However, in order for directories to be willing to list your web site you better have a good site and layout. If you are still working on that then you should hold off on contacting directories until you do. Also, your web pages will have to be completely finished and not works in progress. However, if you get some of the popular directories to list you then your web page will have a heavier ranking than the others, which means you will have more traffic.

About The Author

Michael Turner shows you exactly how to increase web site traffic in his free 7 part mini-series.
Broaden Bonuses for Better Business

by: Todd Kenovas

Providing bonuses has emerged as an important part of the web marketer's arsenal for a fundamental reason: they get results. Since there are numerous ways to incorporate bonuses into your promotion strategy, confining yourself to one or two could be damaging your bottom line.

Consider these dozen ways (plus two extras at no cost!) to use bonuses for more productive marketing:

1. To increase web site traffic, give regular time-limited bonuses. You could also make a game of it by connecting two or more bonues together. Ensure that part one is not quite so useful without the rest of the series.

2. Offer a bonus coupon to those who purchase your product. It could be a discount on another purchase of your own product or someone elses that you have obtained through a joint venture.

3. Exchange discount coupons with other marketers to be used as announced or surprise bonuses.

4. Offer one of your branded products to other businesses in a compatible target market to use as a bonus. The other merchants get a gratis way to add value and you acquire the free advertising.

5. Create a series of reports joined to your products and give them for free to all takers to use as bonuses.

6. Use bonuses to attract and keep ezine subscribers or to expand membership in a forum.

7. Barter products with other marketers so you can provide bonuses that exceed the value of your own product.

8. Declare the dollar value of your bonus, whether it be in your ad copy or in your offers to visitors or customers.

9. If you are promoting merchandise that will be shipped, include a downloadable bonus to give customers a quick reward for buying.

10. Short on bonuses? Here are a few possibilities. You might generate some by excerpting from your ebooks. Or you could offer 30 minutes of consultation for a specified time. Or you could produce a members only section loaded with valuable resources, then provide it as a bonus to buyers.

11. Be kind to your most valued purchasers. Give purchasers of a costly item a powerful unlisted bonus. The bonus could lessen the impact of the big expenditure, enhance the value for your product and trim refund demands. And don't overlook the veteran buyers. Their loyalty is invaluable and ought to be rewarded.

12. Create a feeling of urgency by offering bonuses for a fixed period. You can do this with products, services and ezine subscriptions.

13. Since everyone likes a surprise, make use of this emotional grabber in a couple of ways. State a surprise bonus in your ad copy to help ensure the sale. As well, send a bonus that wasn't offered to increase customer satisfaction and encourage more purchases.

14. Connect with other marketers to merge merchandise and create a potent bonus package that no one else will have. Every contributor can then use it to sell major products.

About The Author

Todd Kenovas is Marketing Manager for Webways Media, the PPC marketing resource.
